When I was out and about today, I stopped at the local Christian book store, and found that this album was on sale for 50% off, so I decided to pick it up and give it a listen. I have loved their hit worship song "God of This City" since I first heard it a few weeks ago.
The CD starts off with a overly long intro into Life's Noise, nearly surpassing the two minute mark, possibly the longest intro I have ever heard to a song. This song I was not to crazy about, It seemed to be to long for the amount of lyrics that there is. It does have a catchy beat to it but not good enough to keep me interested.
The second song of the album is Burn Me Up. This song was a little bit more upbeat and I thought had a really great message and showed the passion of Bluetree. The chorus goes "Burn Me Up, Until All that's seen is you" and that to me just shows how they are not out to get the glory, but to glorify God.
The next two songs are really great worship songs that I could see churches across the world singing on Sunday Mornings.
The fifth song is God of This City. This song is just amazing, the story behind how they wrote it is just incredible. This song really just speaks the plain and simple truth of God throughout the verses, saying that he is the God of this city, the King of these people, the Lord of the nations. And then the Chorus just shows again their passion, that they are praying that there is greater things yet to be done in our city's.
Each Day is just a wonderful song of praise about how God is always there for us, even in the trials and storms of life, God is always there for us when we need him, and he deserves our praises always.
I was surprised when I saw When I Survey on the track listing. This has always been one of my favorite songs and I think they did a really amazing version of it. The piano in the beginning and just the soft vocals really helps to enter into a great time of worship. I love how they progressivly get faster and more upbeat throughout the verses until the fourth verse where they just explode just belching out their praise to God.
The next few songs really talk about the characteristics and power of Jesus. With a nice little tune in Oh My God just expressing his love for Jesus. River talks about how God is not done with us yet, that God is still moving throughout the earth using those who are willing to be used by him. There is a river of Love, a river of Grace, and everyone is invited to swim. Who has Held? is a really nice slow song talking about the power of God, who has held the waters in his hand, weighed each grain of sand, and set the sun into place. This song really helps me realize all that God has done for us and is a really good worship song.
The album picks up again with Your Love which is another great worship song about how powerful his Love and Grace is. It is so powerful that it brings us to our knees in times of worship and when we realize just how powerful it is.
They finish off the album with Standing Out For You which is a really energetic, up beat prayer of them wanting their lives to be a light to the world, and how honored they are that God would let them stand up for him and call themselves Christians.
Overall I feel that this is a really well put together album of great Worship songs and really catchy tunes. I did find that some of the songs were quite lengthy and just seemed like they were dragging on in the last 2 minutes, but I would recommend anyone buying this, especially if you can get it for $9 like I did :)

This is a great start to Kaltrop's career. A nice 3 song EP that I can listen to over and over again. Although I did not like the synthesizer at all in "Who I Am", I still feel that it is a good song with a good message. As well as the other 2 songs have great messages.
I am really looking forward to their debut full length CD, which I have heard no plans of one coming out yet. Their newer songs are deffinetly more mature and would make a must have album.

As I said in my other review, They do not dissapoint live. Although I found this album very mono-tone, it is still a really good album worth buying and listening to.
They have a common theme in all their songs on this CD, and that is Love. The effects of love and letting it in your life. Although they do slow it down with songs like believe, most of their songs keep a fairly upbeat pace.
I love this CD, although I can't listen to it non stop like their other album, I like to listen to it every once in a while to keep it fresh in my mind.
A really good CD, although it was all same sounding, I give it a 4/5 and suggest that you guys check it out.

What I can tell you about this band can not even explain the experience of being at one of their concerts. I have had the privledge to see them 3 times, making that 4 this fall, at Acquire the Fire in Hamilton.
This band is so energetic and ready to worship as soon as they get on stage. I love how they swap leading positions between the rhythm guitar and keyboardist. This DVD is a perfect example of one of their concerts, although I found it not as "Happening" as the ones I've been to, I still sit down and watch it and just have a great time of worship every now and then.
My favourite song that really gets me pumped up from these guys is "We Shine". I don't believe that they wrote that song, nor some of the other favourites of mine that they play, but they do an excellent job of playing them and an amazing job of bring the atmosphere of worship to ATF.
I bought this the first time I saw them, and have watched it many times, and I encourage you guys to go buy it as well. On top of the concert, there is many behind the scenes stuff, and just a biography on them, and it is really well done and a must see.
Amazing | Posted May-28-2009
I first watched this DVD a few years back now, probably close to when it came out, and fell in love with it.
I Love every bit of this DVD, when his wife sings back up vocals for him, it is truly a work of art. I also love the fact that he has his brother playing guitar for him through the whole thing. I was also amazed by his drummer, during the whole DVD I couldn't help saying to myself every time the drummer came on "Wow, he is a really amazing drummer", Just the way he got into the songs and wasn't just another drummer, but a worshiper also, and his ability to play the drums was past amazing, all the different percussion instruments he had to accompany the drum was just incredible.
Every time I sit down to watch this DVD, I get goosebumps about how good he is, and I just sit, mesmorized until it is finished. If you don't have this DVD, go buy it.

I would say that this was a very good STORY. I would not look to this book for my theological views, but it is a great story of a guy that is going through the grieving of his daughter who was murdered. I found it interesting the way the author portrayed God as a female figure. I can understand why he did that, because of Mac's passed dealings with his earthly father, but I still think it is a bit strange that he did portray God like this. Also i found it strange the spot that he picked for God and Mac to get together, which was the place his daughter was murdered.
Over all this was a great read if your looking for a good story.

After the Anthems comes back with "It's Deja vu All Over Again". After touring in support of their first CD "This is the Sound" They come back with more pop/rock songs ready to entertain.
I Love the sound of this album, It has the same fast paced drums and guitar like their first album, but It has a whole new sound to it. They really remind me of Stellarkart on this CD, which is an awesome thing.
From the get go with their love type song "Before you Go", to their fast paced "Stronger Faster Stronger" They are just pumping out those catchy songs, both lyricaly and music wise.
I would suggest this album for sure to be in your collection. You can download the whole thing for free off http://www.aftertheanthems.com/dejavu/

After hearing Trip Lee's debut album "If they Only Knew" I was somewhat dissapointed at what I was hearing. There was a few songs that caught my attention but not enough to continue to listen constintly.
Trip Lee returns with his Sophmore album "20/20".
When hearing of Trip Lee releasing a sophmore album, I was excited to see if he had what it takes to release a sophmore album worth buying. A sophmore album is probably the hardest and most important album any band or artist has to put out. This album could make or break an artist, and let me tell you, this album, "20/20", has made Trip Lee into one of the top rappers in the game.
From the starting track, Superstar(Get your eyes off me) where he starts off telling his listeners not to concentrate on him, but to get ready to learn more about God and not just about Trip Lee. Trip Lee has to be one of the most humble man I've ever heard or met. He has a heart for getting the word out and that is clear all throughout this album on songs such as "Who is Like Him?" "Who He Is" and "True Security"
I give Trip Lee and his co-rappers a 5/5 on this album, and if anyone out there does not have this album yet, go get it, and listen to it with an attitude to learn, because that is what is going to happen.

This CD is a must have in anybodies rap collection. Every song on this album speaks the truth from start to finish. My top 2 songs that really impacted me are "I'm praying for you" and "The King". If you haven't purchased this CD yet go get it A.S.A.P.
