What a treat | Posted January-07-2011
My mom got me this book for Christmas. I finished it within two days. The only reason it took so long is because I had to stop for class! I identified with Melanie so much! And their sisterly relationship mirrors my sister and mine! I love how her characters are always real, and how they always have something to teach us about God's loving grace in the middle of whatever situation any sisterchick has to face!

Eye opening | Posted January-07-2011
This book was thought provoking. I like how the transcripts were left in unadorned, uncommented. It showed me how my own prejudices and my own perspective can color the way I see situations and circumstances. It really forced me to look at this particular situation in a different way.

classics are classics for a reason | Posted December-12-2009
I've said it before and I will say it again and again. As often As I need to. Classics are classics for a reason. This book is the remarkable journey of one young woman who rises above her circumstances in the most unusual of ways. It is and it is not your typical love story. OK, governess and lord that's predictable right? Well, let's mix in a horrible secret hidden in the attic and a family that is just...insane and a tad of tragedy. Curious? Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

Upbeat and funky | Posted October-02-2009
I love this cd. It's upbeat and funky. Group 1 Crew is a great alternative to those artists out there with a like sound but no "moral compass." I hope that they continue to grow in faith and in sales :)

Simply Amazing | Posted September-29-2009
This song is simply amazing, they continue to grow with every album. There is a connection to people in the music that they put out. It is very easy to relate to. And they always keep the focus on Christ. I could listen to Barlowgirl and to Beautiful Ending all day.

And the circle continues... | Posted September-29-2009
Okay, at the time I read Saint I had no idea that it was the second to anything. I actually read it before Showdown, which as Dekker promises, is okay. And it was. I didn't feel lost at any point, it was a standalone novel but, if this is somehow possible, it was made more complete by my reading Showdown. And then Sinner just blew my mind. Seriusly if you haven't checked out Ted Dekker then what are you waiting for? Dive in...the circle's waiting.

What an ending!! | Posted September-29-2009
This is the final book in the Wormling series. This series chronicles the adventures of one boy in another world. It is an amazing book and a perfect storyline for those preteens that are into fantasy. I thoroughly enjoyed collecting the series and really liked the Author's blood.

worshipful lyrics | Posted September-29-2009
I haven't listened to the whole album but I have heard Life is a Church and Behold the Lamb and if the album is ANYTHING like these two songs then this is definitely an album worth purchasing. I encourage you to check out David Phelps if you haven't before starting with these two songs. Behold the Lamb is a very simple song with the focus in exactly the right spot, on Jesus Christ. And Life is a Church encourages us to view every part of our lives through the lens of the cross, i.e. as a God given gift.

classics are classics for a reason | Posted September-29-2009
This book is the ultimate romantic comedy classic from the classic histrionic mother to the clueless siblings and of course, the fiery heroine that labors under a misconception for most of the novel. And is separated emotionally from the hero. But through the course of these misadventures their true feelings are then realized when it dawns on them that even after all of this I still want to spend my life with this person. Elizabeth is my hero and Mr. Darcy is the man I want to marry. I love Jane Austen and I love this book. She was the genius pioneer of the modern romantic novel.
