Moriah Moriah Peters sings within a genre of music that I personally find the least interesting mainly because of the current saturation. The genre? Organic.
Love Most of These Songs | Posted August-13-2012
Garden of Secrets by Shani Ferguson, Baruch At Adonai by Marc Chopinsky and of course- TED PEARCE!! Love them all! Churches would benefit a ton by adding Messianic worship to parts of their worship. Churches would also benefit tremendously if they also added the Davidic dancing along with the worship! I do believe that there is coming a time that my generation will return the church to dancing worship again! :D
(The Church Body would also benefit by realizing that worship doesn't just have to be singing, it can be artwork, dancing, flag waving, etc).
However, that being said, I agree and disagree with StellarKart on the one that worship today all soungs the same. Yes, in one way, it does. But if you look back into history, that's the way it goes. Originally there were the Psalms and for hundreds to thousands of years those were used. Then the Latin Church came up with liturgical prayers and similar hymns. Those were used over a thousand years. Then the hymns we have come to know came into existance 2 to 3 hundred years ago. Lastly, we have contemporary worship (bowl and harp, alternative, soaking, etc) which began about fifteen years ago.
StellarKart, I do agree that we should bring more variety into worship. Why don't you start the ball rolling? I'd be happy to hear what you create! If you can't make music, then let's pray for worship to be created with even greater creativity! :D
This album has some songs that sound like regular worship songs but not all of the songs do. Some have a wispy rock feel, others have the messianic worship sound and more! If you haven't heard of some of these artists, go check them out- seriously! You'll be glad you did!!
Something about the album cover... | Posted July-24-2012

HOWEVER-
Having heard all of Moriah Peters songs I am inclined to say that she has taken a current, overused trend and made it new. She has taken it and made it her own. Her voice is gorgeous (even better in real life). I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Moriah and found her to be one of the most real, sincere people I have ever met. God has truly equipped her to sing and make music. Whether her future is in the Christian music industry or singing for His glory in another arena- she is bound for great things.
I enjoy listening to her songs and will continue to listen to the music she creates. Keep it up Moriah!
The 6th is quite possibly the best | Posted March-13-2012
Dare I say it? ...Yes, FLAME's newest album The 6th is better than his last!
I considered Captured, FLAME's 5th album, to be his personal best and possibly one of the best albums of rap (Christian and otherwise) created. Upon hearing that he was coming out with another album, I was excited but unsure if he could top his last creation. Sure enough, he not only matched it but surpassed it.
If you haven't listened to it yet- go listen! If you aren't sure about rap in general but are curious about this- go listen! If you're cruising by this page and haven't heard of FLAME's songs- go listen!
More Messianic Music! | Posted October-12-2011
All I have to say is: Yes! I love Messianic music and worship, we just don't have enough of it! Thank you for making more!
I've never listened to Marc Chopinsky before but, I wil now! If none of you have heard Messianic praise and worship, you should! Check out your local Messianic synagogue (you'll love it, the people are so nice!), watch Messianic worship dance on Youtube and check out this album! :D
V. Rose | Posted August-10-2011
V. Rose's album is one I've been waiting for ever since I heard her on FLAME's newest album Captured. Although she has a steppin' attitude, she has a voice to blow others out of the water. Her songs are well made and have a great sound.
I don't usually like to listen to people with attitudes, V. Rose's honesty about herself, her talent and her personal relationship with God cause me to overlook hers. ;) In some ways, it's very refreshing.
-BTW: I think the music has a great beat and nice sound. Another artist to show the secular world that we aren't a step below them because our God is Master Creator!! :D Also, I find the cover eye-catching and suiting for V.Rose's first album.
Coming into Destiny | Posted August-09-2011
I have been a Beckah Shae fan for a long time. Her voice, her lyrics and her sound has always been beautiful and fun to listen to. Her past songs were fantastic and still are. However, with this new album Destiny, long time Beckah Shae listeners can feel, hear and taste the new level of maturity. She has grown once again.
She doesn't stay stagnant at all. Everytime a new project comes out, you can be sure it's new and fresh. Beckah Shae is full of deep lyrical meaning, smooth vocals and contemporary Christian beats that you can be proud of. Destiny doesn't disappoint- only raises the bar!
Hillsong United stepped it up! | Posted March-15-2011
Wow, this album is their best yet. I love every one of their tracks. My favorite song would have to be "Aftermath" though. The lyrics blow me away, "In a moment of glorious surrender, You were broken for all the world to see" and "You took the sinner's crown as You placed Your crown on me". Then add the music to it and it's simply fantastic.
Rick Pino | Posted March-15-2011
All of Rick Pino's albums are fantastic. If you want deep worship/time with the Lord- his songs are great for that. Rick's relationship with God and how he brings it into music, is amazing. I could put on any one of his CDs and listen all the way through... although I do have my favorites. :D
Even Better! | Posted February-22-2011
I knew of Worth Dying For from their self-titled album. I was excited at first when I heard about their Love Riot EP but upon hearing it, it wasn't as good as I expected. But I held out hopes for this album. Come to find out- I love this album! In some ways, it's even better than before.
Worth Dying For is one of my top favorite bands due to their real, "non-cookie cutter" lyrics and great sound. If you haven't heard of them before and are wondering if you should try them out, I totally recommend them!
