Continues to be one of the best | Posted November-01-2010
Matthew West continues his climb as one of the all time greats in CCM music. His lyrics about changing your life and making a difference seem to be a secular idea until you take him as he does in the Christian context. We, as the Church, have a job today and Matthew's lyrics preach this very well and they make you reflect about what you personally are doing for the Kingdom.

His Best Album | Posted November-01-2010
This is by far Matthew West's album. His song "Only Grace" is so powerful. I love listening to this song when it comes on the radio or my ipod. The song "History", the title track, is the song that got me into Matthew West. I love that song. It is such a call for the Church to stand up and make a difference in this world. Highly recommend this album.

The band's third album is much better than the second. Their first album was wonderful and they took a step back with the last one. This one brings them back. Their song "Dear X" is such a powerful song. It is very catchy and one of those songs I enjoy getting stuck in my head. If you haven't seen the youtube about the story about the song, you should. It is so powerful.

Scars Remain was better | Posted November-01-2010
This is a good album, don't get me wrong. But the band's first national album, "Scars Remain", was much better. There is however, a lot to say for this album. Their song "Savior" is unbelievable. It is a very personal song about pouring out in prayer for a friend. We have all done that for someone and it is amazing to hear a story about that from someone else.

I'm not one for the hard rock and screaming because most of it is tasteless and you can't understand what they are saying. This album is different. They have a great sound and the lyrics are so clear. You can see the writers pouring themselves into it. Their best song, by far is on this album: "After the World." I can't listen to that song enough. I highly recommend this album to everyone.

I got this album for $5 at a Christian music store. It is amazing. I was blown away by the sound of the album and the quality of the lyrics. Matthew West is one of the artists that you can't not like. He isn't one that will crush the charts with his music. But he has something for everyone. And this album is a great demonstration of that.

Great CD...wish there was more songs | Posted July-15-2010
These guys are so good. I really liked the debut CD and the EP even more. They just got even better with this new CD. The songs are so full of emotion and are perfect to listen to while sipping coffee. The only thing I would have to complain about this CD is there is not enough songs. These guys are so good and I wish they would continue to record because of how good they are.

The book is quite interesting. It goes deep into the meaning of the Shroud of Turin. This is a topic not usually talked about in the Church today. I commend Ms. Ewen for writing on such a non-popular topic.

I caught him out at Creation and he played a lot of songs off of this album. They kept advertising it out there so I checked it out for myself. I recommend this to anyone with a taste for softer more methodical music.

Highly recommended album. One of the best debut albums of a band I have ever heard. They have great videos as well. Some of their better songs actually aren't their singles. I have a respect for a band like that.
