Quite simply this is the best Caedmons Call album for many years, indeed since Long Line Of Leavers.They have gone back to what they did best; songs that make you think and harmonies to die for. It is one of those rare albums that has not one bad track on it.Each song is an individually crafted gem but the album is also a coherent whole. And of course Derek Webb has a big hand in this too producing as well writing playing and singing but the real revelation in this album is Danielle Young. Her songs add a real emotional and spiritual depth to the album and Free is by far the best Caedmons song ever.A band back on form and the best music they have ever done. Album of the year? Definitely!

Do you want alternative rock and worship at its best? Do you want a band that combines compassion for what they believe in with great musical ability and sharp songwriting? If you do then Leeland are your band, and Opposite Way is your album, packed full of great songs and a title track that somes up exactly what the band are all about and is a great song to boot. One of the albums of 2008 to be sure.

The old and the new come together to great effect in this latest offering from Caedmon's Call. Great to see Derek Webb back with the band and Andy Osenga coming to the fore. Great musicianship and good songwriting, though Danielle Young was underused vocally. The best song by far isn't on the official release but on the pre-release copy. Ten Thousand Angels is the best Christian song written by anyone anywhere ever!!

This best offering so far from Vicky Beeching definitely hits some high spots as far as anointed and relevant worship goes. A modern pop rock mix adds to overall package. Stand out tracks are Great Is your Glory and the astounding Wonder of the Cross with it's timeless hymnlike quality. Destined to be a modern worship classic.
