Honest, Real, and from the Heart | Posted July-23-2012
KB...what does the name stand for? Not sure, but his lyrics and his heart is honest and real. His most honest song is "open letter", which covers topics that may be overlooked but regardless of the topic his fans need to reach out to someone for prayer. The first song that brought me to discover KB's music is "Zone Out" with Chris Lee Cobbins. KB does not show fear in what he represents in his music, he is honest with his listeners while at the same time keeping the beats ringing in the back of the brain long after the song is finished.

family oriented with happy smiles! | Posted March-20-2012
Jimmy Needham's new cd is very down to earth. I suppose what caught my attention is the family oriented lyrics and how he speaks about his wife and daughter. His vocals are simliar to B. Reith and Nate Sallie, but can be combined to be both. His beats are Nate Sallie pop oriented and B. Reith originality.

Great vocals! | Posted March-06-2012
Angela has often been compared Kiki Sheard, but she has a vocal ability all her own. Instead of comparing her to Kiki, Angela's vocals are similar to that of Mary Mary. This album is not only gospel, but has a few Urban beats. One of the songs are featured live at her home church. Angela Hearns' music mixes both the styles of Kiki Sheard and Mary Mary, but her vocals are very distinct.

Is this a new sound, or a fresh genre? | Posted March-06-2012
Sarah's vocals are a constant echo of an oceanic breeze. Her sound is pop, with a light modern orchestra, her vocals are uniquely defined to the likes to Sara Bareilles. Her lyrics help you find a deeper meaning than the words are letting you hear.

Ranging artist's vocals (Kearney, For King and Country)? | Posted September-05-2011
Jason Gray, i have heard of that name somewhere, whether it was on the radio, or his songs seem to be everywhere. The song that had me hooked is "I will find a way," I believe that the song was describing his future wife and how the Lord delivered her from things, that were stopping her life from going forward. Jason Gray in one of the songs reminded me of the Mat Kearney of Christian music, with the worshipful lyrics. I kept thinking that the genre of music that he is playing is worship/pop/folk. He also reminded me of For King and Country, formerly known as the group Joel and Luke, his vocals ranged from many different artists. His lyrics and sound as always were changing to grasp the listener's attention. Overall, his sound, his voice, and his message, although the same were very different.

great beat, on the fence lyrics | Posted August-08-2011
I really liked the beat for his songs, and his vocals were amazing. The cd was good, but the lyrics is what quickly turned off my attention and interest. In a few songs I found references to a girl's thigh color such as in "Hey Mama", and a few other songs talk too much about kisses that seem to be taken lightly, and don't paint a pretty picture to a would-be younger listener. Also one of the songs had some language that could have not been used to describe a hard situation in life. Overall, some of the other songs had great meaning and were presented in an appropriate and heartfelt manner.

A help with my walk with God | Posted June-17-2011
This new worship cd really encouraged me this week. I was having a hard time, but the words brought a restoration in my relationship with Christ. The sound is very modern, but at the same time the heart of worship is still evident.

swimming to the sound | Posted May-27-2011
Pop/Electronica with auto tune? Is the lyrics like poetry, or is my mind swimming with what it means? The sound is different and dreamy, it makes you wonder what is it about? Then another songs swims in your mind and there it is.

Each song on the album progresses from a rock hard beat, to a soft song of praise or pain. I was immediately hooked to Newsboy's new sound from the first few songs on the album. Every song is a surprise, the lyrics are very revelant and up to date with this generation.
