A bit disappointed | Posted September-17-2008
OK...now before others shoot me, let me say that I love Lincoln Brewster, and I cannot count how many of his songs I lead in church. Unfortunately, this album was not what I was expecting or hoping for. The other reviewers were right: great musicianship, fantastic writing, definately original, etc. For me, though, when I look forward to his albums as a source of new worship songs, this album was not like previous ones. Definately a blues rock feel, but not geared toward worship like previous albums. Again, there is nothing wrong with that, but when I was looking forward to this album for a while, it was a bit disappointing.

Well, sometimes I enjoy this CD, sometimes I don't--it is odd. For the most part, it is Jars of Clay going back to their rock roots.

I liked most of the songs, not all, but I enjoy hearing their sound applied to classic (and some not so classic) hymns.

Well, I didn't like the different sound of Jars of Clay on this album when I first purchased the CD, but it was awesome the more I listened. Powerfully God-Centered songs with incredible creativity.

I just didn't find this one much better than Much Afraid. Their work took a turn after this CD.

this is easily one of the best albums EVER!! Liquid, Flood and Love Song are incredible.

I usually get leary of Best of's, but this one delivered a great mix of Third Day's best early songs and new recordings. I love it.

I seem to alway get nervous when some of my favorite artists are releasing Christmas albums, and this was no exception. Fortunately, I love this CD and was one of my all-time favorite Christmas CDs.
