"You Decide" is an amazing song, but it's not on this album. However "Unbreakable" is, and it's equally as good, if not better. It seems the strongest song on the album, and the one to listen to a hundred times over.
While it's easy to criticize an entire album, especially if you just didn't enjoy it that much, it did appear at first to seem somewhat repetitious and lacking. But now I find I can't get the songs out of my head, and that's a good thing. I'm really enjoying the album as a whole, it's great rock fun-ness. Ya, fun.
Sometimes it's easier for me to be critical than just enjoying the music from these talented artists...so I'm enjoying it with a four star smile.
Relient K finds the Christmas spirit | Posted December-04-2007
I think it's safe to assume that most people prefer the holiday choruses in their original packaging, untouched and unopened. While I agree that it's hard to beat the classics, I also have to maintain "Why try?" So with that said, go ahead and get a cup of lukewarm hot chocolate and put on your comfy easter slippers and enjoy Christmas, New Years, and even Boxing Day with Relient k.
Being a fan myself, I can't help but enjoy the punk/ jazz feel of the album. Songs like the smooth "Sleigh Ride", the short punkified "Deck the halls", and "We wish you a merry Christmas" which sounds like the "on your way out the door of the in-laws Christmas party" song...
...and now in parting, I have to let you listen to arguably the best two songs on the album, their own "Merry Christmas, Here's to many more" and the soothingly sweet "I Celebrate the Day".
