By libertybell,
Deadline is Randy Alcorn's debuting mystery. As with all debuts, it isn't spectacular. The story is about a newspaper reporter in Seattle whose life entangles with an eccentric private investigator. The reporter's family is in a disarray, and this fact adds to the story's intrigue. The mystery is slightly simple and predictable, complete with an all-too-predictable final scene. On the good side, there are characters introduced whose lives are not fully explored. This makes the reader want more and leaves room for a good sequel. The best thing about it is that he opens up a completely new subject no author has ever explored: life in heaven. This subject is deep, descriptive, intriguing, and believable. This also keeps the reader looking for a sequel. 3 stars View All Music And Book Reviews By libertybell | View libertybell's Profile
