Hardrock sounds, a female as a lead singer, Christian lyrics, this cd has it all!!! The lead singers voice is rough, but it has a very pretty undertone, which you can hear on some of the songs. I like the mix of music on this cd as well. Even though it has a strictly hardcore rock sound, the instrumentals range on songs, from totally hardcore to softer and lighter. The music itself paints the picture of the song for you. I also love the lyrics!!! Even tho they are signed to a non-Christian label, Flyleaf does and amazing job of writing songs that contain a Christian message w/o scarring off potential non-Christian fans.
