Amped is the third offering from the 116 Clique, a group of rappers signed to Reach Records, a Christian rap label based in Memphis, Tennessee. This album has a sound unlike the label's other albums. Rap is mixed with live instruments, amped-up volume and Christian lyrics to form a fusion of Biblical rap-rock. Amped features three remixes and three new songs by 116 Clique rappers Sho, Trip Lee, Tedashii and Lecrae. Each song brings a different message to the listeners' ears. From "Send Me/Represent", which speaks about the importance of missions and sharing the Christian faith to "The Red Revolution", which speaks about unity among believers, the truth of Scripture is presented. The album is certainly a popular choice, as it peaked at #13 on the iTunes Hip-hop/Rap chart. It is available for $7.99 at Reach Records' online store and various Christian bookstores.
