Vicky's second release, Painting the Invisible, is a very positive, upbeat collection of uplifting worship songs. I was a fan of Vicky the first time I heard her and this new album does not disappoint. On a few tracks she rocks out a little more on this album than her previous one, but the lyrics are just as thought-provoking and worshipful!

the voice behind "Lead me to the Cross" | Posted June-04-2008
I love Hillsong United and in listening to their music, I couldn't help but wonder who was the amazing voice behind "Lead Me to the Cross" and "Hosanna". Through a little online research, I learned it was Brooke Fraser. I was able to find her "Albertine" album on iTunes and bought it right away. It is a wonderful album that demonstrates how talented of a singer Brooke truly is and I couldn't believe I'd never heard of her before. I love the message of the song "Albertine" and enjoy listening to the album at work because of its soothing tone. If you enjoy Brooke's work with Hillsong United, buy this album on iTunes or Amazon.com... you will not be disappointed!

A more mature sound.... | Posted October-03-2007
I'm a huge fan of The Benjamin Gate and really like Adrienne's voice, but I was expecting a little more rock from her on this album. Don't get me wrong, I really like this album it just seems there was something lacking. Now that she's married and a mother her image is understandably more mature, but you just want her to break into screaming. The songs are positive and catchy..."Sufficient" is awesome. Even though it goes with the theme of the album, I felt it was a little cheesy to do a cover of "Turn, turn, turn". I really like Adie though and I look forward to seeing what she'll do on her next album.

Didn't like it... | Posted October-03-2007
I am a Rebecca St. James fan, but I did not like this album. I bought it on sale at the local Christian bookstore because I like the song "Wait for Me", but was very disappointed when I listened to the rest of the album. Her music style is ever-changing, but the style of this album just isn't what suits Rebecca's voice the best. I gave the cd to one of our youth group kids who seemed to like it so "to each his own".

So Good! | Posted October-03-2007
Needtobreathe has such a unique sound that stays with you. I loved this album from the first time I heard "Shine On". During a very difficult time with my health, "Over Now" became my anthem. It felt like that song was written for me. If you've never checked out needtobreathe, I highly recommend that you give them a listen. But, beware...you may become addicted to this cd! :-)

Read the Lyrics!! | Posted October-03-2007
This is one of my favorite Sara Groves albums! Sara is amazing talented and her writing is so insightful and meaningful. I absolutely love the song "Past the Wishing" because I think we all can relate to the feeling of wishing and not doing. I also love the sound of "Song of Solomon"; it draws you in. "Help Me Be New" is a prayer of repentance and is beautiful. If you're a Sara Groves fan, your collection isn't complete without this rare album.

Coffee House Sound | Posted October-02-2007
If you were in college in the late nineties like me, then Clear will remind you of enjoying a cappucino at a coffee house on open mic nite. If this is your thing (you like artists like Waterdeep, Caedmon's Call, and Lisa Loeb) then you will enjoy this album. The musicians are very talented as is lead singer, Alison Ogren, but sometimes the lyrics and music just don't seem to mesh. Overall, it's a pretty good cd for relaxing to.

Words Cannot Express... | Posted September-27-2007
I cannot express in words how awesome this album is. Although its the only album that Chasing Furies released, it is by far a classic to be cherished for years to come. Something about this album connects deeply within my soul...it's music that you don't just listen to, you feel it. I have owned several copies of this album because I have worn them out over the years. I've heard this album described as "Modern music with a thinking person's lyrics" and that is so true.

One of my faves!! | Posted September-27-2007
The Benjamin Gate is no longer together, but their music still rocks. Frontwoman Adrienne Liesching-Camp (Jeremy Camp's wife) is amazingly talented. You can hear her softer side on her solo album debut "Adie" and as background vocals on much of her hubby's music. My favorite songs on this cd are "All Over Me", "How Long", and "Hands". If you like rock with a frontwoman who can hold her own, then you'll love this album.

LOVE IT! | Posted September-26-2007
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Benjamin Gate! This is a rockin', upbeat cd with catchy lyrics. My favorites are "Lift Me Up", "Light", and "Gratitude". This is the perfect cd to workout to, especially on the eliptical or the treadmill because it helps you get a nice paced rhythm going. You can get this cd really cheap online too. Although the band is no longer together, it is still a cd worth owning!
