Until June I love this album. The vocalist has a very good voice, and they do a lot of cool falsetto stuff....
My favorite Hawk Nelson album | Posted April-14-2008
This is my favorite album to come out in awhile. Hawk Nelson seems to have matured somewhat with this album. While on "Smile It's the End of the World" some of the songs seemed to be kind of pointless, (not that I disliked those songs) "Hawk Nelson is my Friend" has song after song with really great meaning. Musically this album is superb. I recommend the Special Edition of this album, as it has a couple of cool accoustic tracks (One Little Miracle featuring Amy Grant and Friend Like That).
Can't say enough about this album! | Posted January-13-2008
This could end up being my favorite Christmas album ever. It isn't what you typically expect a Christas album to sound like, as it has almost no traditional Christmas songs on it. However, the music is powerfully arranged, and the orchastra is very good. I love how "Joy to the World" is combined with "Christmas Angels." Mandisa's duet with Michael is certainly a highlight. And "Sing Noel, Sing Hallelujah" could be a classic in years to come.
Great Christmas CD! | Posted January-05-2008
If you like Relient K and you like Christmas music, then you will enjoy this album. It is a good mix of new Christmas songs and classic carols. Some songs on this album were previously released on Relient K's "Deck the Halls, Bruise Your Hand." Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Be sure and listen for the hilarious bonus track!
Great worship album | Posted July-12-2007 Stand is a great album. I was largely disappointed with Smith's previous album, Healing Rain, as it had few songs that I really enjoyed. Stand, however, contains songs that musically I find enjoyable and the lyrics are powerful and worshipful.
My favorite song on the album is the title track, "The Stand." Other songs that I like are "Open Arms," "Come See," and "Escape Your Love."
Even though the genre of this album isn't what I normally listen to, I am glad have heard (and will continue to hear) Michael W. Smith's Stand.
