Not Bad | Posted February-14-2008
Our Heart's Hero's Gotee debut is a solid mix of pop and rock. While it may not be as good as many other records of the same style out there it's still good. "Back To The Cross" is one of my all time favorite songs, while the rockier "Because Of The Blood" is a great track too. Other good songs include: the opener "Save Me", "More Than Everything", "Every Breath", and the quiet closer "Angel's Song". Not a bad debut for Our Heart's Hero. While it may be a little cliche, the band still pulls it off fairly well. I recommend this only for fans of the pop/rock genre.

Hymns | Posted February-14-2008
"Hymned" is a bit of a departure from the MercyMe sound that Bart Milliard is known for but that doesn't mean he doesn't execute it to perfection. My favorite song on the album is the powerful closer "The Old Rugged Cross". Another favorite of mine is "Mawmaw's Song", which was played on the radio for a while. Other great tracks include: "Softly And Tenderly", "My Jesus I Love Thee", and the bluesy "Power In The Blood". This record is somewhat different than Bart's work with MercyMe and some fans of the band may not enjoy this as much as I did but I would still recommend to anyone.

Best Debut Ever | Posted February-14-2008
I can't decide whether "Sound Of Melodies" or "All That Is Within Me" is my favorite album. Whether "Sound Of Melodies" is my favorite record or not it doesn't change the fact that this album is pure genius. Leeland Mooring's voice works perfectly with the music his bandmates put out. From top to bottom this album is incredible. My favorite track is the catchy "Lift Your Eyes". More great songs are: "Sound of Melodies", "Yes You Have", the compassionate "Tears of The Saints", "Hey", "How Wonderful", and the tender "Carried To The Table". Great music and an important message, this is worship the way it should be done. I can't wait for "Opposite Way".

Switchfoot's Finest | Posted February-14-2008
I've been listening to Switchfoot about a year now and I have all of their records but none of their previous albums compare to "The Beautiful Letdown". This album's overriding message is redemption with a little antimaterialism mixed in. My favorite track would have to be the worshipful "On Fire". Every track on the album is good but especially: "Meant To Live", "Redemption", "Gone", "Twenty-Four, and "Dare You To Move". Like I said earlier on in the review I greatly enjoyed this CD, I can't recommend it enough.

Well Done | Posted February-14-2008
"Oh! Gravity" is one great Switchfoot record. The music is second to none and the lyrics are well thought out. My personal favorite on the album is the beautiful closer "Let Your Love Be Strong". Other great tracks are: the opener "Oh! Gravity", "American Dream", "Awakening", "Yesterday", and "Burn Out Bright". Switchfoot continues to grow in their music and their message, I strongly recommend this record.

The Second Best Debut Ever | Posted February-12-2008
"Sound of Melodies" takes the title for best debut in my book but "Twilight" is a close second. With a great opener "Open Wide" and a beautiful closer "Stay Beside Me" and great tracks in between. This is an album that should not be missed. Wonderful tracks include: "All I Want", "Speak To Me Gently", "Sunrising", "Sacred Place", "You And I", the beautiful "If You Find Her", and the best track on the whole thing "Gazing". Great album from a band we will probably hear a lot from in the future.

A Great Rock Album | Posted February-12-2008
Decemberadio's debut record is one of the best debuts that I have ever heard. Great songs from start to finish. On the expanded edition there are two songs added one is just an acoustic version of "Love Found Me" but the other is the best track on the album called "Find You Waiting". Other great rock songs are: "Can't Hide", "Dangerous", "Drifter", "Live And Breathe", and the original closer "Least Of These". I can't stress how good this album is, so if you are a Christian rock fan then this is for you.

Another Great Album | Posted February-12-2008
Casting Crowns continues to be one of the most popular bands in the CCM industry. Considering every one of their singles have reached number one. My favorite song on the album is the opener "What This World Needs", which calls us to point people to Christ and nothing else. Other good tracks are: "Every Man", "Slow Fade", the number one hit "East To West", "The Word Is Alive", and the great closer "All Because Of Jesus". Another great album from a great band.

Let Your Lifesong Sing | Posted February-12-2008
Casting Crowns strong debut helped boost them to elite status in the Christian music industry. They have some of the best record sales of any in the industry. But I don't think Casting Crowns really cares about the record sales, I think they care more about seeing lives changed by Christ. "Lifesong" is a wonderful album, it picks up right where the debut album left off. "While You Were Sleeping" is my favorite Casting Crown's song so naturally it's my favorite on the album. Other great tracks include: "Praise You In This Storm", "Set Me Free", "Prodigal", and the closer "And Now My Lifesong Sings". Pick it up and help support this fantastic group.

A Solid Debut | Posted February-12-2008
Casting Crowns is one of the most well known Christian groups of today. Their self-titled debut is a powerful blend of challenging lyrics and solid music. "What If His People Prayed" kick starts the album and has one of my favorite lines in any song what if the people turned to Jesus and stopped asking Oprah what to do. Other thoughtful songs include: "If We Are The Body", "Who Am I", "Voice Of Truth", and "American Dream". The album kind of drops off after that but it is still solid. I recommend this CD who likes to hear music with a strong message.
