Switchfoot Okay, I love Switchfoot and while this album isn't my favorite, I still love it. 'Love is a Movement' and 'Inoccence Again' are my favorite songs and if you're a die hard Switchfoot fan then you should...
A Little Disappointed | Posted October-14-2007
I've been a Relient K fan for awhile so as soon as their new album came out, I had to get it. As I listened to it, I realized that it wasn't the Relient K I used to love. Their sound had definitely changed and it didn't seem as light and fun as their first albums. The lyrics were just okay for me, I was disappointed that there were a lot of songs about relationships and not about God. 'I Need You' and 'Faking My Own Suicide' are two of my favorites on the album and of course the vocals are amazing. 'Deathbed' really made the album for me, the lyrics are amazing and great to play for a friend who's not a Christian and I love it when Jon Foreman sings at the end. I must say, it's a pretty well put together album and if you don't have it, you should probably get it.
Mostly About Sound | Posted October-13-2007
So I just got the new album and I was really excited about it. I heard the hit single 'Hotel Aquarium' on the radio and couldn't wait to hear the rest of the album. My expectations were high and that can somewhat explain my disappointment. Falling Up's newest album, Captiva, is much like their other two albums but with a sound that is a bit more mature. 'Goodnight Gravity' and 'A Guide to Marine Life' were two of my favorites. Falling Up is mostly about sound to me, the vocals are just okay and the lyrics don't make much sense. But I have to say, Captiva, is a good, quality album and I do recommend it.

I think it's safe to say that the Christian music world has been waiting for this album for a long while now. Aaron Gillespie, drummer and vocalist for Underoath, was the main thing, in my opinion, that pushed Underoath into its popularity so when I heard that he made his own album, I had to get it. My expectations were very high and the album didn't really do anything for me. 'Say This Sooner' was a definite favorite for me and 'Amazing Because It Is' has a great message but vocals seemed a little boring. 'Drive There Now' is a great song and the sound is amazing. This is very good album but definitely not my favorite, you may like it though, and I'm all for that.
A Great Band | Posted October-13-2007
This new band deserves more attention than it has been given. Their newest album, Polarity, is absolutely incredible. 'Say Your Prayers' was the first song I had ever heard by them and I fell in love with it right away. The diversity and sound of 'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead' and 'Schizophrenia' are very good and while the vocals aren't the best, the sound and lyrics make up for it. And while it isn't the most popular song on the album, 'Misery Loves Company' is my favorite song. All in all, The Wedding's a great band and you should definitely pick it up and give it a listen.
A Sound Suited For Everyone | Posted October-13-2007
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this new band is actually really good. 'Surface' is the first song I ever heard by them and they amazed me, it has a very good sound, switching back and forth from rock to soft and mellow. The lead singer, Wes Blaylock, blew me away with his amazing falsettos in 'Lovers Charm' and 'For Miles to Come.' With a sound much like Mute Math and Copeland, Deas Vail provides, with their new album, a sound suited for anyone. I can definitely see Deas Vail becoming 'the' band of tomorrow.

Okay, I like BarlowGirl a lot, I always have but this sophomore album didn't cut it for me. BarlowGirl's first album was such a great one, every song was it's best with great messages. But Another Journal Entry seemed to repeat the same message over and over. 'Porcelain Heart' and 'My God's Enough' are my favorite, the vocals on both were very mature and they both had great lyrics. While I didn't particularly enjoy this album, BarlowGirl is still awesome and I have confidence that they will do better in the future.

Wow. What else can I say? And even as a huge Casting Crowns fan with great expectations, The Altar and the Door exceeded all expectations. The song 'The World is Alive' and 'East to West' are my favorite songs on the album, the sound is amazing and we all know that lead vocalist, Mark Hall, could sing the phone book and it would become a hit. 'Payer for a Friend' is so powerful it brought be to tears. Casting Crowns has a great sound, great lyrics, and fantastic vocals, their talent blows my mind. God has really used them in my life and many others as well and I'm sure that He will continue to use them in the lives of many others in the years to come.
